Exporting sugar from Brazil to China is complex. China's high sugar import demand presents a lucrative opportunity, but its volatile import mechanism complicates the verification of financial intermediaries' legitimacy. Often due to concerns about fraud, legitimate importers seek financial instruments through partners outside China. The primary instrument is the Letter of Credit (SBLC or DLC), which is commonly used to ensure the safe delivery from the warehouse to the shipping dock. The LC, secured by the provider's credit facility, guarantees payment from the seller to the buyer, covering both ownership exchange and payment.
