John Hartigan is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer at VisEx Global, Inc., a Chicago-based international commodity trade finance and logistics company advising its partner clients in strategic planning, development, implementation, crisis management, and post-disruption business reintegration and capital raising, with a long and extensive career in the financial industry. John's wide-ranging and diverse experience spans multiple sectors, including financial services, investment banking, portfolio management, derivatives trading, and international trade.
As a senior business development executive and top revenue producer, John has documented asset raising, client development, management, and retention success. He has successfully managed business lines throughout his career, focusing on profitability, efficiency, and growth while developing a well-rounded team of professionals. As a leader in the industry, in addition to capital raising, John's responsibilities have included strategic planning and organizational development, crisis and change management, institutional investment portfolio construction and management, and international trade. Across multiple business cycles and climates of widely varying volatility, whether they be strategically planned, or disruption born, whether the focus called for repurposing and reintegration or building upon an existing foundation, his core principles, sturdy foundation, inclusive management, embracing of business intelligence and value of thought leadership has served him well in achieving success for whoever has entrusted him with those responsibilities. John has been a significant bottom-line producer, managing and mentoring others toward success by combining a broad and diverse skillset across many disciplines with a record of success in adapting his experience and skills to the challenge. Philosophically and in practice, John feels strongly that mentoring, empowering, and leading others, together with Intuitive foresight, team-oriented goals, honest introspection, and humility are necessities to the organization's growth and the success of the individual and in the value of building and fostering a culture conducive to organizational and individual success.
Civically, John is an active member of the Misericordia Home Advisory Board, St. Ignatius College Prep Board of Regents, and the Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago Board of Directors. He also serves on the Chicago/Galway Sister Cities Committee and the Cork/Cook County Partnership. John served two terms at Georgetown University. Board of Regents, is a past Chairman of the Finance and Investments Membership Sub-Committee of the Economic Club of Chicago and has served on the Ireland Funds of America Midwest Board, Best Buddies Illinois, and Illinois. Education Foundation Advisory Boards. Additionally, John spent several years on the Executive Board of Illinois.
