Chief Executive Officer/Founding Member
 

John Hartigan is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of VisEx Global, Inc., a Chicago-based firm focused on global commodity trade, logistics, and international trade finance. Through VisEx Global, John helps clients navigate the complexities of global trade with strategic support spanning trade finance, logistics, transaction support, and execution. The firm evolved from John’s work at Albion Capital Partners, LLC, where international trade was part of a broader advisory platform covering strategic planning, business development, crisis management, post-disruption reintegration, and capital raising. During the COVID-19 disruption, John’s advisory work increasingly emphasized change management and trade-related solutions. As global markets reopened, he narrowed the firm’s focus to international trade and established VisEx Global as a dedicated international trade finance and logistics platform. John brings a long and diverse financial services career to this work, with experience spanning investment banking, portfolio management, derivatives trading, institutional advisory services, capital formation, and global trade dynamics.

Throughout his career, John has built a record of success as a senior business development executive, revenue producer, and trusted advisor. He has led business lines focused on profitability, efficiency, growth, client development, and retention, while building strong, high-performing teams. His leadership experience spans strategic planning, organizational development, capital raising, institutional investment portfolio construction and management, crisis and change management, and international trade. Through multiple business cycles and periods of significant market volatility, John has guided organizations through planned growth, disruption, reintegration, and transformation. His approach is grounded in disciplined execution, inclusive leadership, business intelligence, and thought leadership, supported by a broad skill set developed across financial and commercial disciplines.

John believes lasting organizational success is built on mentoring, empowerment, accountability, and a culture that supports both individual and team achievement. He emphasizes intuitive foresight, honest introspection, humility, and aligned goals as essential to effective leadership and sustainable growth.

John is also active in civic, educational, and nonprofit leadership. He serves on the Misericordia Home Advisory Board, the St. Ignatius College Prep Board of Regents, and the Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago Board of Directors. He is also involved with the Chicago/Galway Sister Cities Committee and the Cork/Cook County Partnership. John previously served two terms on the Georgetown University Board of Regents, chaired the Finance and Investments Membership Subcommittee of the Economic Club of Chicago, and served on the Ireland Funds of America Midwest Board, the Best Buddies Illinois Board, and the Illinois Education Foundation Advisory Board. He also served on the Executive Board of the Illinois World Trade Center Chicago for several years.

John earned his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, where he played varsity football, and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He volunteers as a Teen Catechism Teacher at St. Mary of the Lake Parish / La Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes in Chicago. A lifelong Chicagoan, John lives in Rogers Park with his family.
